Bend Surgery Center Foundation
Central Oregon and the nation are experiencing a shortage of Healthcare providers in several professional areas. Bend Surgery Center Foundation was organized to assist Central Oregon students who have demonstrated a commitment and desire to pursue further education within the Healthcare industry. We see the Healthcare future in our youth, and we want to help them achieve their dreams and degrees. The creation of this Scholarship based Foundation is just one way we're reaching out to encourage students to pursue careers in the medical field.
MISSION STATEMENT:
"Encourage and inspire interested and qualified Central Oregon students to pursue careers in healthcare by providing funding for educational opportunities".
GOALS
To annually provide scholarships to qualified graduating High School seniors from Central Oregon High Schools. Those interested will need to submit a scholarship application and individual award recipients will be announced annually. Those students who intially recieved funds and have completed undergradute school and have been accepted into a medical field graduate school (IE: PA, DO, FNP, MD) will be eligible to reapply for a gradutate scholarship in the amount of $5,000 to $10,000.
In 2010 Bend Surgery Center Foundation gives out $10,500.00 in scholarships to 14 students representing 8 Central Oregon High Schools.
In 2011 Bend Surgery Center Foundation gave out $18,000 in scholarships to 18 students representing Central Oregon High Schools.
SCHOLORSHIPS
Bend Surgery Center Foundation will be offering scholarships for graduate programs to those students who have received from BSCF a scholarship and have completed their undergraduate program.
